Too late, after the Pontiac Pursuit version of the Cobalt debuted in Canada for 2004 even its name was changed to G5 Pursuit and then just G5 when American dealers got it for the 2007 model year. It even went by G4 in Mexico in 05-06. So will the Targa be G2 or G3?

I guess if the Miata can be the 'miata mx-5', then just the 'mx-5', and now the 'miata' again, Pontiac can do it too..

I'm guessing G2 for 2 seater?

The G2 and G3 names have been used by Pontiac, in Mexico.

As much as I wanna see a Targa top. I don't cuz I waited for some kind of hard top for so long and I just bought my GXP last month and gave in to temptation.

Way to go Jimbo!!!

I came close to succumbing to temptation... Last winter GM offered to top off my GM card to $2000 (my earnings were only $200 at the time...) and apply all $2000 to a 2007 Solstice GXP. Needless to say, I started to sweat and was all over GMBuypower looking at inventory!

I think I could buy the Targa, it would extend our driving season, not to sure about the exhaust placement! Kevin & Cheryl

Can't wait for the autoshow!

I hope they changed the front end from the concept. If not, I'd still buy it lol

I've looked high and low for spy shots to no avail
