Funny digression: In the 1950's, Porsche had a variant of the 356 called the Continental. The small German company was sued by Ford Motors over the use of their (copyrighted) name. Ford won.
Anyhow, I understood the foldable soft top for the Coupe would be made available as an option at the Coupe's release. As for the name Targa, I never expected GM to use this moniker on the car, but rather as a generic term like "moonroof" etc. to describe the type of top it has. I'm still curious as to whether the Coupe will have additional badging to delineate it from the convertible.
PS. The Truth About Cars journalism is questionable...they seem to interject too much subjectivity and not enough fact.
