Diecast/plastic models of Coupe

I have seen a lot of manufacturers that have made die cast and plastic models of the convertible, has anyone seen a model of the Coupe?

I continue doing internet searches for coupe models from time to time (just looked again yesterday) but none ever found, and unfortunately not likely ever.

If you have a good roadster model it should be pretty easy to find an experienced modeler that could craft a top for you.

As soon as I run across a roadster model I might give it a try.

MB612 - Pontiac Solstice Coupe

Apparently the purple and green streaker was in the 2007 group-however there were other colors also, but all were limited runs-under 15k produced. Amazon apparently had them, no longer avail, seems the only place online they're showing up is on Ebay.

Being an avid Solstice toy collector the only versions of the coupe you may find are the Transformers Autobot Jazz and Smokescreen models by Hasbro and the Road Ripper models by Toy State Industrial Ltd. Not of the usual quality of the detailed models but they are Solstice. Here is a list of the Solstice coupes I have found and their model numbers etc.

Vehicle Description Color Part Number 1
Autobot Jazz Animated - Double Energy Chunks White 6791060000

Autobot Jazz Jazz and Megatron - All Spark Battle Grey 6715870500
Autobot Jazz Bumper Battlers 6812210100
Autobot Jazz Freeway Jazz Grey 6909220000

I have sent emails out to a couple model die-cast makers, and get the same basic response. Thank you for your suggestion but due to high manufacturing cost we do not believe there is enough market demand to generate a profit for our company. My next thought was plastic model makers, but I'm thinking I'll get the same type of response.

I got the Road Ripper Spinout two color blue right before Christmas at a Marc's here in Cleveland. I later went back and got the other Solstice Spinout there which was green, orange and white, for my nephew. They both have hard tops, more like racers than coupes, and the boxes have the Solstice logo. I do not even want to take it out of the box, since the Solstice logo shows on it above the car. Very cool sound and motion too!

2003 Coupe

I have a 2003 silver Coupe from Matchbox MB612 in 1:64 with graphics on the side. I believe it is the model of the concept car, just took a while in coming.

Holy cow, where'd you find that!? All I could find was an old e-bay listing out of the UK for a gray one. The search is on...

This discovery of a Matchbox Superfast Solstice Coupe really has me intrigued and now I'm all dusty from digging my old toy cars out of the attic. I took a photo of some of my earliest coupes, which also happened to be some of of my favorite Matchbox models at the time. Well, the Jag is a Corgi "Whizweel," but the Firebird is a Superfast and the Corvette "Caper Cart" is a Superfast King. I was a Matchbox snob, and "drove" the hell out of these cars, as you can tell.

Definitely think these toys may have had some influence on my decision last New Year's Eve!
