Never Got My Window Sticker for my Coupe

Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. The window sticker for my GXP Coupe never came w the car. The dealer ordered the sticker at least 3 times, the first time being the day we bought the car. They have also followed up with the regional rep after having no luck getting the sticker for us. I bought the car in June and followed up w GM Customer Service mid August since the dealer wasn't getting any results. They are a top notch dealer and one of the highly recommended dealers noted on the forum. Well we're into October now and I am still waiting so I left another message this morning with GM Customer Service. I'll probably get my weekly Wed call from them that the dealer has been notified and it should be resolved shortly, yada, yada, yada. This after me telling customer service for what should now be the 7th time that the dealer has tried to resolve this issue w GM and they're also not getting a response.

Is anyone else missing their window sticker? I think I will need to just order one from Pontiac Historical (that was the original suggestion from GM for resolving this issue!!) but I don't understand why this should be so difficult to resolve.

Any thoughts on how to get this resolved?

On a good note, the Coupe did win "Most Interesting" in addition to 1st place in it's class at the POCI-Garden State Chapter Fall Show yesterday!! The GTO took home a trophy too!

I thought mine was missing too, but it was folded inside my owners manual folder in the glove compartment. It is kind of weird though because I thought by law the window sticker had to accompany the car when it was shipped. Regardless, maybe the person being asked to do this probably sees it as a low priority. Customer service falls off your radar when you’re expecting to see security personnel show up outside you office cubicle.

If it was suggested you go the through Pontiac Historical for one, I'd just do it. The worst thing that could happen is you get two of them. I framed mine and hung it in the garage.

Dealers can re-order window stickers only prior to the sale. Once it shows up in the system as sold, they cannot. Check your glove box, they usually place them in there.

If you can not get your window sticker, you can still confirm your option content and paint codes. On the Convertible it's on the inside of the glove box, probably same location on the Coupe.

Good luck,

Lynne

Picked up my window sticker last night!

Great news!
We picked up our sticker last night from the dealer. I called Pontiac Customer Service again on Oct 9th and started all over again with another CS rep named Walter. He was great! Walter contacted the Field Rep who contacted the District Sales Manager. Between him pushing those two, the sticker got printed. Apparently GM had to have an IT person load up all the Pontiac logos, etc. The Sales Manager even had it overnighted to the dealer. Since my car was originally an early order, it came with a paper that had some info, but was not a formal window sticker. The dealer was even impressed given they had gotten an email from GM that the issue was being handled and resolution was forthcoming.

I had also emailed Fritz through his blog on 10/9 and had gotten a response from the exec office that they were following up. I will be emailing them letting them know what a great job Walter did. (Especially since the CS Rep I had been dealing with since August and her Spvr told me there was nothing they could do for me, it was a dealer issue). I will also let them know there are a few more of you out there like me that are waiting on window stickers and to not delete those logos just yet! Contact Pantiac Customer Service and push for that sticker. Thanks to all for your suggestions.

I have also called Walter to express my deep gratitude for a job well done!

Deepblue, they can get it after sale also. They just need to order with the VIN #. I got a reprint of mine for my Sky almost 8 months after I bought it. But I think that also might have been because mine was built early in the model year so it was still MY08 when it was ordered.

Mine just showed up today. My dealer said he had to order it twice. Mine was one that originally had the dealer listed wrong for some strange GM dealer. The Certificate of title was under the name Al Serra Buick in MI but my dealer was Bob Trickett in WV. Bob said they got the car direct from the factory and not this Al Serra. The car only had 5 miles on it. He had to have the Certificate of Origin reissued by GM just to get it registered here in TX. I don't know if that had anything to do with no window sticker, but he finally got me one. It is not the typical waxy blue type but did have a peel off to stick it to the inside of the windshield. In any event, at least I have one now.
