New January 26th 2017 Passenger airbag sensor recall

There is a new recall with no remedy as of February 13th 2017. Quote.. If an active fault exists in the PPS system and a crash occurs, the SDM will not deploy the front passenger airbag. If an adult is occupying the passenger seat, the suppression of the front passenger airbag could increase the risk of injury to the passenger.

Here is link for GM Recall websites where you can enter your VIN#.

I think that was "tongue in cheek"

To the OP: this has been the subject on many threads and much work by our very own Robotech to get the recall started. Sorry, but you're a day late, dollar short.

Actually, about 18 days late (Today minus January 26, 2017 equals 18) or so my spreadsheet tells me.

I always loved date math!

Still a dollar short.

Yes, I know airbag sensor problem has been ongoing. However I did not see any posts regarding recall. I just had ignition switch recall done a few months ago. I had been to dealership a few times for oil changes but didn't find out about recall till I did a recent Carfax. You would think recalls would pop up on dealer's computer when vin is punched in. I am still getting recall notices for an 2010 Equinox I sold 5 years ago. I know where guy lives, so I let him know each time.
