Just released by GM! Finally some paydirt in the waiting game for official photos (after I 'chopped damn near every color! hah) Here's the coupe in what GM is calling Cool Silver. It is pictured with regular Solstice wheels which leads to the next development...In 2009 the Solstice convertible will be available in a Street Edition variant with racing stripe and special Street Edition wheels, which may or may not come as an option on the coupe. It also has the Coupe's black headlamp surrounds. No specs on the rest of the Street Edition variant, but the official images are below. Coupe watchers will notice these are the same wheels as on the Coupe show car which we were told were not going to be available! Enjoy!

Here is what is known so far:

From the 2009 Solstice Roadster-Changes Initial Release thread

Quote:
Looks like it will be Brazen's turn for a special model to start 2009.

This week's GM AutoBook update is now showing a new model for 2009, the (2MK67) Solstice Street Edition. It appears to be along the same lines as the 2008 SCCA special championship editions. A fully loaded one color car.

Some of the information in the AutoBook listing:

-Brazen with Darkside Top

-Black Accent Stripe

-Black Bezel Treatment Headlamps

-18" Polished Aluminum Split Spoke Wheels

-Performance Suspension with Adjustible Valve Monotube Shoock Absorbers

-Brushed Aluminum Sill Plates

-Ebony Leather Trim with Orange Accent Stiching on Seatback, Steering Wheel and Shifter

-2.4L Engine

-Only option is Rear Spoiler and choice of Transmission

More information when it becomes available.

Hmmm I'm already drooling over which options, color, and what I'm going to do when I get one of these babies.

So it's looking like the black light housings will be available on the 09 models? As well as the 18" version of the rims on the show car?

So yeah yesterday my girlfriend just picked up a 08 G6 V6 sedan and she's pretty happy with it. yeah while she was talking to the saleswoman I was definitely sitting in a Solstice GXP in the show room floor... I definitely gave her my # and told her to call me as soon as she gets any info on pricing or availablity... Although that's why we have Small Dealer!

Not that the wheels wont be available, that they wont be available stock on the classic or GXP.
