I've compiled a comprehensive production report of the 1,152 sequential VIN Pontiac Solstice Coupes. The report provides each vehicle’s color, specifies coupe/GXP, Manual/Auto, “Build” date, export/domestic. This report does not include information on the 101 pre-ship to commerce coupes which do not have sequential VINs.
An overview of the report:
781 - GXP Model
371 - Coupe (Non-GXP)
822 Auto Transmissions
330 Manual
Solstice Coupes in North America
956 Built for the USA
118 Built for Export to Mexico
78 Built for Export to Canada
Rarest Color: Code 22U Fresh/Hydro Blue 23 Units
Most Common: Code 41U Mysterious/Black 366 Units
None of the sequential VIN coupes are Envy/Green (color cancelled by then)
After VIN 1,000 the painting process seemed to only produce five colors:
Black, Silver, Red, Ruby Red and White
Build Dates:
GM ceased production of the Kappa models at the end of July, 2009. In the “800+VIN” range you will see build dates listed in the month of August and in some rare instances some September dates sprinkled in. For the last 300 vehicles in particular, use these dates more as a frame of reference as to when your car was Green-Lighted by GM to head into the dealer network on the way to the consumer - not the date your car was assembled - as many of the dates listed for that range are after the assembly plant closed.
I hope you find this helpful and are enjoying your cars as much as we are.

Reason: Update to database
The ones exported from the USA in many cases had different names for their colors across the border, but always the same paint code. Here are some examples:
"Deep" Blue in USA. The 3 vehicles exported to Mexico were "Azul Nocturno" and in Canada the 1 Blue Solstice Coupe in this paint code (48U) is named Alterrain Blue.
Brazen as it is called in the US is Metallic Organge. 11 of the 50 painted in this shade went to Mexico and there it is called Naranja. In Canada 7 were painted in this shade and there it is Inferno Orange. No matter where, it's GM paint code 28U, etc.
In Mexico, the USA's "Mysterious" was simply Negro. In Canada, Black.
In the USA "Cool" Silver was Plata Oxido in Mexico and Liquid Silver in Canada.
White, Blanco in Mexico and it's Summit in Canada.
"Aggressive" Red is Rojo Victoria in Mexico and Victory Red in Canada.
"Wicked" Ruby Red Metallic" is Rojo Merlot in Mexico and Merlot Jewel in Canada
"Fresh" Hydro Blue Metallic has the same name in Canada. None exported to Mexico.
"Mean" in the USA is Yellow and in Mexico there are 4 there which are instead called "Amarillo Sport" and in Canada 3 rolling along as "Competition Yellow"
This really is how many were built for and sent to GM Mexico and GM Canada.

Anytime. You're 1 of 5 and that's pretty neat. If you ever travel to Canada keep in mind you have twin Canadian Cousins. there are 2 GXP Manuals there who go by the name Summit. That's cool, eh?

Wicked 2009 Solstice GXP Coupe on order 24 October 2008 Produced 7 April 2009 Delivered 6 May 2009 VIN 1G2MT25X59Y000038 (Watched her come off the truck)

As far as cloth seats, I noticed it was more common for ones that were not GXP versions to have cloth seats. A GXP with cloth was not the norm, but there are some out there.

Just great to get that data - was it a lot of trouble to collate?
One question. You state 70 cars to Canada. The list notes Canadian car beside some serial numbers. If I add up all the cars so noted, does it add up to the 70?
Reason I ask is that my car, 378, isn't listed as Canadian even though it is.

Interesting that 27 of the 70 Coupes sent to Canada were black. Doesn't leave much room for other colors up here.
I'd like to have the only Deep or Hydro Blue coupe in Canada. That would be cool.
WSPOHN: That's an oversight on my part not to make that note. Yes yours is Canadian spec and so is the one behind it #379, even though I didn't note either as Canadian in the notes portion of the spreadsheet off to the side. In GM's system it is so easy to miss the Canadian order specs. I realized I overlooked it for 8 Canadian vehicles in total when cross-checking with the Canada-specific color figures. So I have changed the original post to reflect 78 Canadian. For the exports to Mexico, it's easy to differentiate the orders when some of the data is in Spanish. All 8 of the Canadian cars without the notation in the side column however were counted in the Color breakdown as ones from Canada. Both the 378 &379 are Dark Steel Gray (so it was easy to separate that data out).
