In no way do I condone this behavior , but I just had to share.
A couple of weeks ago we went for a leisurely drive in the mountains. Along came a fancy looking white car behind us. “A Porsche” I say, as it plays peek-a-boo in the rear view mirror on the twisty road, no… yes, a 911 GT3. I pass a car, he follows, I pass another, he stays right with me. So, I nail it, we are flying down the mountain together like two slot cars on a toy track, me in front of course. You know how in the cartoons when a car goes really fast around a mountainous curve and the tires stick to the road while the rest of the car seems to float through the air. YEHA that’s my baby, she’s got wings! I ask my husband, “how much is a ticket for 50mph over the limit in a federal park?” A LOT he said. That was the only thing uttered until Mr. 911 went north and we headed south toward home. I led the whole time and giggled like a school girl! I am here to tell you, just in case you don’t know, my coupe is one bad ride ladies and gentlemen, she handles like a dream and I don’t even have the ZOK sway bars installed.
By the way, the Porsche $112,000, four times the cost of the coupe and more than my first house. Car and driver thinks my baby is more beautiful, so do I ! NOW GO OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN just don’t get caught!!!!!!

Sometimes it comes down to a combination of horsepower, mechanics and driving skill with a dab of raw courage. Maybe the GT3 was more powerful but the driver wasn't! Please no posts on safety and the law, we all do this from time to time.
Over on the Porsche forum a GT3 owner is posting about a drive on a mountain road, during which a slower solstice driver wouldn't pull over to get out of the way.....
