2.4L rough idle

I have a 2006 Solstice with the stock 2.4L (22,000 miles). The idle is a little rough. Sometimes it seems like it shudders or misfires. I always use high octane fuel. Although I bought the car used with 20,000 miles on it.

Welcome to the LE5 Ecotech. These motors seem to do that. They try to control idle speed with timing if it can't tdo it with the Throttle Body. so basically if the engine is too fast for idle, it momentaraly retards the timing, which feels like a stumble/miss.

Mine only does it with the AC on and when I let off the gas to slow down and stop. My wife's has an automatic and does not do it. Her's also has a DDM supercharger and did not do it before or after the supercharger. Mine is an 07 and my wife's is an 08. After three years and 37,000 mile, I guess I learned to live with it. I wonder if I put a DDM supercharger on my 07 it would quit the shutter when I slow to stop. What do you think Randy?

The simplest thing is to make sure the car has the stock plugs, properly gapped. The previous owner might have substituted some other junk.

Secondly, don't let anyone talk you into using "seafoam", or some such similar
crap in order to "clean out" the top end. The only thing that will clean out is your wallet.
