it might not be the design of the handle or the materials it might be the installation

I got lucky, mine didn't break it "almost broke" and because of that I saw what might be happening to everyone

on the pivot side of the handle there's a retaining nut inside the door that secures said pivot

on mine that came off, had I pulled too hard the handle would have broken where it broke for everyone else

however mine didn't break and all I had to do was remove the door panel and out in a new retaining nut

so it might not be the actual handle that's failing but a retaining nut that's failing, causing the handle to fail

not sure of course but this is my belief
