Spiro_GT : "It is a bit over-sensitive to incline, but on level ground it seems to be correct." what about then when you accelarate or you corner ?? why does it change again ?? the gas gauge is a joke it reminds me of an Alfa Romeo i used to drive in college. My Vespa LX has a better gas gauge...How difficult is it to built a decent floater ??
I have not seen fluctuations during acceleraion or cornering, but I have to admit that I am more likely to be looking at the road during those activities, so I may have missed them.
The only real fluctuations that I have seen happen below 1/4 tank, where I very rarely go.

Amazing what people will bitch about . As others noted, the only time mine is a little funny is when it get's under 1/4. It seems to "stick" on E sometimes after being on a hill.
How big is our tank anway. I thought it was 12.8 or something like that. I put in 13.4 last night on the way home
Ok, so I had .2 gal left. At about 25mpg, I could have made it another 5 miles
You probably had a bit more than that, but not much. The stated capacity of the tank is usually conserative, and does not include the filler neck. The Kappas have very short filler necks.
