So, the connector for my heated oxygen sensor (the lower one, after the cat) has gone missing.
No problem, I think: I can solder. I'll just slap a new connector on it and on the wiring harness side, and be back in business.
Which would be fine, except the wires coming from the sensor (2x white, 1 gray, 1 black) do not match those coming from the harness( purple/white, red/black, tan(?)/white, gray/white).
Blew a turbo gasket, sharp piece of it sticking out. Best guess is it sliced the like gong to the sensor. The connector on the harness is melted. Like, volcano melted.
I'll check when I get a minute. They're purple if that is any indication.
