My solstice is an 06 2.4L that is all stock as far as I know. I bought it with about 2000 miles on it. It has a monsoon sound system in it with subwoofer and all, and it was surprisingly satisfying when I first purchased the car. Lately I've noticed I'm not able to get as much out of it, and I believe the entire left side (driver side) of the sound system has a short in it. It's fairly sporadic and will come back on sometimes when I go over large speed bumps, but usually quickly shuts off. The fact that the entire left side is pretty much out leaves me to believe the short isn't in the driver-side door panel, but is somewhere towards the back where more of the wiring comes all together. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that the amplifier is back there. However I'd like a second opinion or two before I start ripping out my interior. My first guess is that there's some kind of loose connection to the amplifier that controls most of the driver side sound system. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. In fact if anyone could tell me the easiest way to get the driver side door panel off, and also get to the amplifier as well that would be great. Thanks
