Recently picked up my lightly used solstice, and with it came two sets of keys with 2 keyless entry pads. Within a week I was fighting my dad for control of the car, and one of us (I still insist it wasn't me but he says I hid them) lost one of the keys with the keypad. I was wondering if anybody knows where/how I can come across a replacement. My first thought of course is to go to a pontiac dealer, but the car was purchased from a dealer in Florida and I live in Houston. So I'm also wondering if the fact that I don't have access to the original dealer is a problem.

You can get new keys and fobs on eBay. The keys can be relearned easily enough. The problem is the fob - so far, the only place I've found to reprogram the car to accept the new fob is a dealer, and they want $$$.

you can go to any dealer to get a new set of keys and fob but they are going to cost a pretty penny though.

Yes, you can buy the new key and fob from a dealer, ebay, gmpartsdirect or any number of places.

I had to go to a dealer to get a replacement fob programmed for a Grand Prix I bought last year, and the dealer charged me $50 for the programming (I supplied the fob.)
