I had two shocks fail. The dealer inspected and ordered two to replace them. They were leaking the fluid all over. It was my front left and right rear. I found it when cahnging the oil when it was on the lift. What do people think about the ride. Will it be worse? It seem's as if I go over the slightest bumb it is like bang!! Any opinions would be great.

If they were to fail that fast, I would have upgraded to the KYB's instead of the Bilstein. Ive heard that Bilstein isnt all that good lately.

Dealer close by me had two sols in - one sold, one for show. The one sold had a bad left front shock and replaced it with the show car.. I wonder if this could be a bigger issue with shocks.

I just hope it has nothing to do with the suspension. I mean it really bangs pretty good when I hit a bumb or something. I can understand feeling the bump but not hearing the noise.

Has it been fixed yet? Maybe the reason you're experiancing such a harsh ride is the broken shocks.

Hard to imagine how the suspension design could cause the shock failure (unless the shocks were undersized, which would give a squishier ride - the opposite of how most describe the Sol).

It is odd to see so many shock failures - sounds like a bad lot

I would agree that the harsh ride may result from the bad shock. Certainly still under warranty. And the warranty will only cover replacement with factory parts.

Thats what happens when we let the Damn Commies build car parts.

If thoses shocks were built in the good old U.S.of A. you wouldnt have a problem.

Depending on how bad the shock has lost pressure, banging is not out of the question.

Brentil I only had 1k miles on it when I found it. The shocks are on backorder and am still waiting for them to come in. Thanks everyone for your opinion on the ride.

Hey Tug, I'm sure it occurred to you but I'd make a case for all four. It may have been dropped, as someone mentioned. The other two may have also been traumatized. Check it out.

Thanks Bird! I have no idea how it may have been dropped but you never know. They said when I bring it in they will need it the entire day. She rides better at higher speeds. We will see. Thanks
