P/N# 89025003 - A/C compressor

Just had mine replaced in my Sky...but pretty sure they would be the same part # for both Sols and Skys. This is the NEW and REDESIGNED A/C compressor. No more funky growling/groaning/whining noises when running the air.

That is the same compressor number since the cars came out last spring. It is not a new number.

You may have had a compressor problem, although the Termal Expansion Valve (TXV), A/C line grounding out/clearance or low refridgerant level, are the more likely causes of air conditioning noise.

Well, perhaps the part # is not correct, which I apologize for...but I most certainly did have a compressor problem. The TXV and A/C line were checked and no problems were found. The compressor was deemed "defective from factory"...and there is indeed a newly redesigned A/C compressor available...I will try and find out what the correct part # is for it. I waited 3 months for this compressor...my dealer refused to put in the same old crappy compressor, therefore they kept rejecting the order and waited it out until this new design was available...which is why it took 3 months to get. The difference is like NIGHT AND DAY...no noise whatsoever.
