I have seen posts of tire pressure and was thinking of 30 or so.
But when should I be reading my pressure to make these adjustments?
In the morning my pressure is as low as 25 or 26, and late in the day it is 29-31.
My monthly "email" from the car always seems to do the reading in the AM and gives me the lower readings.

Should I err on the low side or the high side?

The sticker on the door of the car calls for 29 lbs. "cold" - in other words, first thing in the AM, before the car has been driven.

You are running low if it's 25 lbs in the morning.

It's better to run a pound or two high...of course...this refers to street driving.

Tire presure when cold should be at 29psi.

I agree with all of the above posts . But......I run my aftermarket tires 1 - 2 pounds over that. ( 30 - 31 # ). Don't do this just because I say so , but I've always gotten very favorable wear characteristics from my tires by going 1 - 3 pounds over what the door sticker says. For instance , the car ( '07 GXP with mods ) , "feels" better with 30F and 31R.
Just my $.02 . Thanks.

Obviously aftermarket tires will have a different profile and therefore different pressure ratings for ideal tread during street driving...which is a debate in and of itself. Obviously slightly low pressure will increase traction and slightly high pressure will increase mileage while decreasing wear. Overall, stay close the the recommended levels within say... 10% and you will be fine, hot or cold.
