Mobil 1 5w-30 $22 at Wally's, GM filter from the dealer $8. Do the work myself. A little over $30 total. Do it roughly every 5k or so...
Where do you guys find the Bosch filters??
Rock Auto online for the Bosh filters part number 72215. I buy them in a 4 pack

NOT WAITING ANY MORE!
Switched to Mobil 1 after about 6,000 mi..
I am letting the dealer do all my service work on this vehicle, I have never done this before. I am trusting the DIC oil life for changes, usually try to get it back in when it is down to 20%. That seems to be in the 6,000 to 7,000 mi. range.
It is their opinion that any more frequent oil changes are just a waste of money.
With 40,000 mi. all is well. One thing I will say is I recently found out the Sol has no serviceable fuel filter. The car started getting sluggish at low RPMs. The dealer cleaned the injectors and everything is back to normal. They recommended adding a cleaner periodically to stop this from happening again.

Yep, I add a bottle of Chevron Fuel Injector Cleaner to each of my vehicles every spring.
Also, I change the oil at 50% life on the DIC. That is between 4 and 5K.

Where does this injector cleaner go? In the gas tank?
Yep. I like the Chevron brand, because it has Tectron, which is proprietary to Chevron. Tectron is the only fuel injector cleaner recommend by Porsche. So, I started using it when I had a Porsche. Does it work any better than other brands? I don't know. Since I just use it as preventative maintenance, I don't notice any difference in performance when I use it.

Haven't gotten to the first oil change yet in the SOL, but I used ONLY MOBIL 1 with the SRT, and I had the dealer do it. Brought in my own 5 quart jug and they charged about 25 for the change (including mopar filter). Also had a every fifth free card. I don't have a problem changing my own, and might with the SOL if the local dealers aren't allong the same lines.
I have ran Mobil one in my car since day 1,000 miles were on my car. From there I changed oil every 4,000 miles. After putting the supercharger on my car I started changing oil every 3,000 miles. The oil comes out clean, but I like to make sure. On my last fill I changed to Royal Purple Full Synthetic. I've heard that it is the best for hi-perf engines so I changed to that. Then I got in my accident which must have been caused by the oil.
"Catch my sarcasm please"
Yes I have heard that Royal Purple has lead in it, and if you are not careful it can be absorbed through the gas pedal into the right foot.

First 6 oil changes I used Mobile 1
7th oil change they were out of Mobile 1 where I was at so I tried the pennzoil syn (which I didn't like much, mpg dropped and the car was hotter than usual).
My last oil change this Saturday I used Royal Purple 5w30 .
It's not getting as hot as it was before. Before 199 - 205 was what I'd see since it's gotten warm here in AZ.
Now it's running no higher than 200 with the very occasional 203.
I believe it's getting a smidgen of better gas mileage as well and seems to be handling faster acceleration more "evenly".
I like it. was about 1 dollar more per quart, not bad.

I'll be going RP 5w30 in the engine and 10w40 in the transmission. I also have the GearMax 75w90 for the differential. I'll be letting the dealer do it this next week so I'll see how that goes. So far I've done Mobil1 7500 Extended Performance for the last 3 oil changes...
