Tomorrow, I will be taking 3705 to have the back window limo tinted. I have visited the tint guys today and after reviewing what they had to offer it turns out that the front windows cannot legally get darker. I had the tint master put the 35% light thru tinted sample glass on top of the door window glass and there was no difference whatsoever. They would not put (legally) anything less that 35% light thru tint. I was kindof dissappointed... I could do it myself I guess but the risk of screwing it up is above my comfort threshold.....
....today it so happened that I received my KappaShield and was thinking of tinting it as well. Have you guys done that? Would it be ok to tint it? I guess I could PM the KappaShield folks and make sure I dont &^%$ it up. I figure that with the mysterious color a limo tinted KappaShield would not look bad at all.....

I will be illegally tinting my windows sometime this summer.
Probably won't tint the Kappashield, though.

I have trouble believing that the factory tint on the drive and passenger doors are already tinted to the legal max. I have had every car and truck I've owned tinted, and the driver and passenger door always get tint.
I hope to have my Solstice delivered this week, it's in San Antonio now, and getting the windows tinted is the first thing that I will get added. If the guy that does my tinting says he can tint the side and back windows, I will let you know. He has done everyone of my cars in the past and is very good. It won't be to far for you, Seguin TX.

I got my back window tinted at limo grade (5%) and it really looks nice! The tint master said that the KappaShield is too flexible and any tint he put on would have problems after just a few days of use.... so I decided not to waste the money on that and keep it clear.

Should not be a problem. Several folks have tinted their KappaShields.
I had mine done when I had the rest of my car tinted, the guy said because of the plastic it might not stay, it lasted about 4 days , then it started to peel off, so if i find a better way I will have it redone... and I did have it done at a sho that has done all my cars, and limo 5%, but he said it is just like tinting an airplane window, it adhears beter to glass.... so Im back to clear now... Eric
Just put the "Kappa Shield" on and it fits like a glove. Had a hard time getting the screws out to install the shield and was worried the heads would strip. So... got an oversize screw-driver head to fit the screw and used a wrench to give leverage and they came out smoothly. Looks great!
