   Stock turbo Compressor upgrade

Since I have little use for the stock BW (once you go BB you never wanna go back!) right now, I placed it in the hands of my good buddy Pete.
BW has released almost nothing about this particular turbo as far as rebuild/repair. So Im havin Pete & the boys disassemble and crossreference parts. Once we know how far I can CNC bore the compressor housing & possibly the turbine housing the we'll go about selecting wheels that will be a good match.
Id like to see a 9 blade turbine wheel in there, and something with around a 50-54mm inlet dia on the compressor. If we're lucky maybe the garrett BB sleeve.

At the very minimum a higher flow compressor wheel.

The goals for this is to provide, on an exchange basis ,a "hotrodded" stock BW turbo that will support 40+ lbs/min and cost around a grand or less.

Official Pricing: $829.99 with a 1-2 day turnaround on the work + shipping.

I BUY CORES!!!!

Sounds good. What about swapping larger exhuast housings for more power up high, too much of a trade off?

BTF, I'm look for a stock elbow that come off the top of the turbo so I can send it to be chromed. Mine is a daily driver so I can't do without it.

Are you thinking like a 16g/18g sized wheel? Im hooked on autocross now so anything big and laggy is outta the question for me.

I told the boys somethin' around a 2871 or so.
Im hoping like hell we can get a garrett turbine wheel in there The turbine wheel will be several grams lighter and should keep the same boost threshold, but with a faster response due to reduced MOI.

Check the other thread I posted some Vids of 4th gear pulls up a slight incline from 1800-2000rpm on to 4k. 21psi is had by 3400rpm. Not so bad.

About 4-600 rpm later. It will never have that 2000rpm grunt the stocker does, but a stocker also wont run with fury to 7400rpm either.
Trainsient respose of the BB is much faster then the ETC that's for sure.

But our little BW mongrel we have in the works is more about being a sneaky pete in stock appearing classes and the ease of direct replacement. I would be happy if it packed another 75-90hp into the casing, with faster transient response, and a similar boost threshold (within a few hundred rpm)
