no, you can always increase pressure to the MAx of 250kpa and peg the turbo out earlier.
But the biggest benefit and intended reason for this turbo is so
1) dragracers get to 60mph in 2nd
2)roadracers can hang the car out to dry revving the car thru the corner and not overspeed the turbo..
3)to get you 60 more hp @ the flywheel while appearing stock. (requiring either Revs or boost or both to stuff it into the motor)
bro, I wana ask you again
will this turbo compressor upgrade.......compatible with a bsr tune?
You really should invest in HPT for yourself now that it's complete. SOOO much more capability.
I know ...I know bro..........I just dont want to throw away my BSR PPC tuner...where I spent some dough
I'm still waiting for the stage 2 and 3 BSR upgrade (if that will ever come!!!).
That's why I installed the water/meth kit, since I believe that after I installed the dejon pipes/intake......I'm getting too lean..............and the ecm started pulling the timing and lessening the boost
Since I can't tune the bsr ppc tuner, the water/meth kit (i believe) is the answer. My car is very happy...and running better. Plus even if I buy the HPT, I can still use the water meth kit
I'll give BSR a couple of months.........if they still don't have any software upgrades, I'll go ahead and buy HPT....and will probably email and call you for some tuning advice!
Well I just got back from some rippin' I have the boost set to 20psi, and It gets a little surge from 3200-3800 then goes away.
It pulls real good from 2000-7000. But it's no GT30R.
By MAF it's 36lbs/min @7100rpm. Just as planned.
Got any logs? Impressive that you're still using stock components and flowing that much.
I've seen the logs and i though i saw a peak of 38lbs/min too, plus that was at around 19 psi, still have some headroom
Can the surge be fixed through hptuners?

LV , Mike's not generally open on weekends.
But, I honestly havent driven it since friday, I've been working my Arse off to get the dyno pit/shopfloor done so I can build the new addition.
Put it this way, I'm considering buying my own jackhammer. Rediculous boulders!
Gotta get it up before the snow flies! (just a month away)
Im going to go out for a ride tonight after dinner. I have to see if my new cam timing map alleviates the surge @20psi 3000-4000rpm.
If you run 18psi it doenst happen. If you floor it from 3K it doenst happen. But pull 4th from 2000rpm@23psi and it's there everytime for just 1K rpm and is gone. It's not acceptable to run in surge.
I wrote a boost map that was 19psi until 4K then 23psi until 7400. No surge. What irks me is that when plotted on the comprssor map it's in a great area. well away from the dark black line.
Makes no sense, but I'll figure it out.
It could be that Im all stock and corked up a bit. The GT30R didnt have a CAT to contend with.
