Bald, will you be able to test this with just an exhaust to see if the surge still exists?

That sure makes sense as I threw another code today in 3rd gear at 3800rpm doing 61 mph.
That is all the "foreigner" with the PS 2 could read.
Then this schmuck tells me the CAI is the problem and it has to go back to stock to continue diagnosing LOW BOOST PRESSURE.
Sh!t for branz!
I know what happened EIGHTY SEVEN OCTANE was all I could get out of the COLONIAL PIPELINE and I got in it an me boy got GAS
Ok this means ditch the SOLO and low back pressure also because this is why there is a
high flow COLD AIR INTAKE
Then he wants to test drive me SLY with the TOOL
Ok fine I'll go with you.
No you can't go
NUH UH, my car my rules

ECM dialed back boost?
This GOOBER HEAD knew nothing about cars.
I call back form the hotel and bitch slap the VP, son of the owner.
At least I know from their farts guy where there are 13 ECM's
Like I said in the PM, the best thing for you to do would be to sell the BSR for HPT.
OTher than that there is a possibility your car might avoid the compressor surge window if your supporting mods are there. Lil'goats logs suggest that his car would avoid the surge window.
The other thing you could do is just take a thread or two adjustment out of the wastegate if you encounter surge. you only need 19psi to hit 390hp @7200rpm, so your powerband will be flatter, smoother, and pull longer.
Having BSR in the past, I will tell you that it is not possible to sell it. BSR sets it specific to your VIN, and they do NOT reprogram it for another car if you sell it. I was lucky that I was able to return mine and get a refund because I was having issues with that tune and some of the mods I had. It took months for them to agree to take it back, and it was with the help of a vendor on here. Basically, BSR told me that I would have to take the loss if I didn't want to use it anymore.
Just an idea since I have to souce one for LV, who would pay $35-40 for a shiny billet BOV cover?
possibly even adjustable spring tension?
If I had them tomorrow who would step right up and order?
BTF,
If CreateEngineDepot can not come up with stock BOV cover (Small Dealer is helping with the part #). Also if the price of the stock replacement is any where near your price, then is a no brainer.
I can PAYPAL you the $35-$40.
Let me know.
Send you a PM with the part number of the cover and the price.
I rather have the billet one from you, after finding out what the price of the BOV assembly is from GM.

Reason: Found part # and price for BOV cover assembly
no.
If you change orifice size your asking for trouble.
Go to HPt forum & see chris's posts on how the MED9 calculates mass flow using the pressure drop across the TB. this is used for limphome mode, and variety of other calc's.
I also have the BSR tune from Hahn. We should be able to do the wheel upgrade, but I think all we need to do is monitor our AFR and for any boost surge. If it starts getting too lean (knocking) or surging we can adjust the wastegate rod screw to lower the boost.
You wont get the most of out this mod as others with a tune setup for it...
maybe we cant get Hahn in on this to make a tune with BSR for this mod

Good luck with that...Hahn doesn't tune the BSR, they just sell it. Any change in the BSR tuning would have to come from BSR, which is in Sweden. They are not very accommodating when it comes to messing with their tune. You can try, but you are better off getting HP Tuners and letting Westers custom tune it.
I used to have the BSR, which is why I can say this. They would not even tune for minor mods like and exhaust and CAI. The said that their tune was good for those mods and that made it a "stage 2" tune. My car would not even run correctly, and all I had was an intercooler, CAI, and exhaust.
When you run into the surge issue, what happens to the log of the boost, MAF and A/F. What PID is the best indicator?
This thread has kind of taken some tangents, in as few words as possible, where does the project stand. Has anyone with a free flowing exhaust/cat dynoed the conversion and if not when will it happen.
