From which turbo is this wheel from, got some induc/exduc measurements?

Same exducer size, but the inducer is 46.4mm up from the stocker's 43.25mm.
SO it widens the map, but reduces the max pressure ratio it can make.

How big is the exducer, 60mm maybe? The mitsu 16g has the same inducer, potent little turbo.

I have it written down somewhere, but that little fact got tossed aside when I found out they were the same size. I would assume 56-60mm.

I should have it back by the middle of this week, hopefully on and testing by the weekend.

you'll have to swing down from toronto,Eh? My buddy John (the one with the wicked MR2 I built on my site) is from toronto. Says we gotta go up there with the hotrods' to play. Seems there is quite a racing scene up there.....

Perhaps if it's nessicary, but I'll try to avoid it like the plague. Id rather cut it for a larger wheel.

Clipped Turbine Wheel
When an angle is machined on the turbine wheel exducer (outlet side), the wheel is said to be "clipped". Clipping causes a minor increase in the wheel's flow capability; however, it dramatically lowers the turbo efficiency. This reduction in efficiency causes the turbo to come up on boost at a later engine speed (ex. increased turbo lag). High performance applications should never use a clipped turbine wheel. All Garrett GT turbos use modern unclipped turbine wheels.

Yes, you would take your KO4 turbo off and send it to BTF.
He will do the upgrades and returned it to you.
You then have to bolt it back on in the car but BTF will supply you with detail instructions for doing it.
Hope this helps.
I am sure BTF will elaborate more on this for you in case I'd missed something.

Well I have pricing for everyone. The total to have your turbo "bigwheel'd" will be $829.99.

That is assuming your turbo is in good shape. If it's wiped out or needs bearings we will contact you with an approximate repair cost.

Thats includes
Disassembly, inspection
CNC machining of the compressor housing to fit the 3.4mm bigger wheel.
Reassembly and balancing of the rotating assembly on a state of the art balancing machine.

Powdercoating: any color on the compressor housing add $45.
Swaintech on the turbine housing:add $75. (this one increases lead time- I'm at their mercy)

How long does it take? Is it something that we can bring the car to you and you can do in one day if everything is ok.
