Is that the line for our application? Not exactly riding the max efficiency islands, is it?

no that is the suggested surge line.

plot a line across the 2.2 bar region. we can pretty much ride it from surge to 7000+.
Also for big boosters the 255kpa or 2.5bar line is still much mroe efficinet than the stock wheel.

Who wants the first one? Darin! where are you lurkin?

The map reads out to flow approx 530cfm, or 36.6 lbs/min.
Now the stock map indicates about 444cfm or 30.63lbs/min.

Just the facts, I'll post the TRUE stocker up below and above. (Straight from the Borg, resistance is futile.)

So like I said at least 60hp more flow. Since folks have creeped on 300whp with the stock 30lbs/min It's possible that the motor is on the high side of the 10.5hp/lb/min rule.

So, you're saying it's possible to hit 350whp with this upgrade??!!

Only one way to tell for sure, but the stock combo optimised to the max can do 290ish whp.
Doesnt seem to big a stretch to expect 340-350 from a wheel that can support at least 60 more hp.

I think we need a challenge here.
BTF if you can put some Dyno sheets with this setup that shows 330 - 350 RWHP you have a winner on your hands and there will be a lot of members here wanting this performance solution.
Let's face it $830.00 for the upgrade plus a tune (PCMforless, GMRodaster or Westers), a new IC (Dejon, Hahn or RPI) and the above numbers the price vs performance is a real winner all around for the Solstice\SKY community.
Let's put this in prospective at 350 RWHP we are talking the power of a LS3 at 430 BHP. Well close at about 420 BHP
I am sure the torque would be in the very high 300's also.

Busted!!!! I am going to baseline my current tune, with typical weather for here, with 3 dyno runs and the turbo will then be heading your way. Then we can do same car same dyno and similar conditions.
Dont tell anyone about this, my car is stock right.

Dont you basically have a spare turbo btf? You could have one on hand already upgraded and when someone purchases it you send that one(with a core charge of course) and wait for theirs to come in and start all over... no?

Thats the plan man!

I'm kinda hoping that the data presented will entice a seasoned turbo guy to buy my (personal) turbo. That way I wont have to dirty it all up putting it on my car just for a few dyno pulls.
The best part is it's all borg warner stuff, and it's within their trim selection so we are not putting together something they havent before. Well except our specific housing configuration.

BTF:
The only thing I see that could be a problem with an exchange would be if I request the following.

Swaintech on the turbine housing:add $75. (this one increases lead time- I'm at their mercy)

All I am waiting is for some Dyno runs.

So...how well would this upgrade work with the pcmforless or GM Roadsters tune? What hp can we expect? I ask because im getting a Dejon IC hopefully next week, and then im also going to get the GM roadster tune.
