This is kinda a dumb question but how is this thing gonna run on a stock tune. The joy of this mod to me is that the dealer wont be able to see it but if it runs like crap on a stock tuned ECM it would be a problem for services at the dealership. In addition Im planning on getting this but dont know when Ill be able to get the car onto a dyno to properly tune it.
BTF posted earlier in this thread that it will run fine with a stock tune, will likely never be detected, and that it will respond quicker, but will yield the most gains for those that are running higher than stock boost and higher rev limit (makes perfect sense - this would require a tune anyway).
Talk about sweet, you get a better higher end with out any loss on the bottom end.

UPDATE UPDATE
I just send BTFRacing a 2007 GXP KO4 Turbocharger to get the Larger Wheel upgrade and also Swaintech.
He should have it in his possession by Tuesday of next week.
This marks the start of what I hope will be one of the best MODS for our cars.
I see that BTF will put his own on his car and hopefully gives us a taste of what is coming.

Just to be sure, this is the stock GXP turbo with your big wheel upgrade in it right?
Yup sure is.
Stock exhaust, stock intercooler and stock CAT.
Well I just got back from some rippin' I have the boost set to 20psi, and It gets a little surge from 3200-3800 then goes away.
It pulls real good from 2000-7000. But it's no GT30R.
By MAF it's 36lbs/min @7100rpm. Just as planned.
no, you can always increase pressure to the MAx of 250kpa and peg the turbo out earlier.
But the biggest benefit and intended reason for this turbo is so
1) dragracers get to 60mph in 2nd
2)roadracers can hang the car out to dry revving the car thru the corner and not overspeed the turbo..
3)to get you 60 more hp @ the flywheel while appearing stock. (requiring either Revs or boost or both to stuff it into the motor)
