So today I met with a very helpful forum member, Duck. He graciously allowed me to fit our engine cover to his GXP. We found that we will be needing a GXP specific cover. Ours will just not fit.

The good news is we are going to make this happen! What we need is someone who is willing to give up the OEM engine cover. Please realize that the engine cover will be destroyed in the process so only give it up if you don't want it back.

Of course we will offer a healthy discount to the person that volunteers.

-Cheers

I would be more than happy to donate my engine cover to the cause.

I was thinking of basically making a copy of the OEM piece. I am not really looking at restyling the look. It costs a lot of money to come up with a custom design, and the custom design we have on sale right now doesn't seem to be gathering up too much support. Seems too risky at this point.

I personally like the design of your current 2.4 cover, but would like to see the 2.0 cover done up close to the stock cover expect not so busy. I would like to see the simulated vents, and the stripes smoothed out.

Here's a photoshop I did smoothing out the stock cover and trying to duplicate the carbon look.

I am looking to buy a GXP engine cover. I really don't want to "borrow" one from someone because, well, the cover would be destroyed in the process.

So if anyone doesn't need thiers anymore, PM me.

You've got a deal!

PM me when you're ready. Once the project gets going I will make a special section on this forum just for the progress of your cover. I will post pics and such and keep you informed. We'll be 100% responsible for your cover; so if anything at anytime goes wrong we'll send you a replacement.
