Hello Solsticeforum!

ASTI is very proud to have finally made it to the playing field. We have many exciting products coming up in our near future, and we hope that you like what you see so far. We are considering ourselves as the premier Carbon Fiber vendor for the Solstice, Sky, and GT. We specifically specialize in Prepreg Carbon Fiber which is superior when compared to the wet lay up process. Along with our top notch Carbon Fiber products, you will most likely see some other non CF innovations come about too.

Our website, as you can see, is still a work in progress. We will continue to update it and post our news here on our forum.

We will also be announcing pricing for our engine cover here in the next few days. While our website is still catching up to speed, we will post our information here. Along with our pricing announcement we will be offering discounts for group buys. The larger the group, the larger the discount

Please keep the posts coming. We'd like to hear from you all!

Oh I just realized I forgot to mention that we are still looking to see if our cover will fit other applications other than the base Sol & Sky. Since we are located in TX (DFW, specifically) we are looking for Texans with GXPs/Redlines, HAHNs, and DDMs. We want to try to fit this baby on as may cars as possible.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!! I can meet up with anyone willing for a test fit this weekend.

I'd guess one color...carbon fiber

heh, but ya never know...they may have some tricks up their sleeves I am not aware of! And of course, carbon fiber is paintable, but it seems like such heresy, lol.

I am working with our suppliers on quotes for colors. I will post on here when we have pricing, availability, and colors.

Another option, for those interested, is a fiberglass version that can be painted to whatever color your heart desires. Of course the FG version will be less expensive that the CF version.

We will definitely be pushing black CF first for all of our products. Gotta love the strength and weight of the stuff.

Then if interest is there, FG and CF/Kevlar/color versions will come next.

Yes, it is absolutely real Carbon Fiber! I have been working very hard to keep the price down as much as possible, but it is what it is. Like the saying goes, you pay for what you get. The Carbon Fiber we use is top notch prepreg. Prepreg is pre-impregnated carbon. So the dry fiber fabric is dipped through a precisely metered amount of resin and then frozen to keep the resin from hardening. The precise metering produces the optimal fiber to resin ratio producing a very strong product!

There is such a thing as black fiberglass. It is not as strong, and it doesn’t look exactly as CF. It has a different sheen to it. Like I said in a previous post, this cover is made to order. So let me know what you all are interested in. Black fiberglass may be close enough for what you want.

We are excited to be one of the only vendors willing to produce real Carbon Fiber parts for the Kappa platform. Not stickers…the real thing. We are pretty flexible about things, so if there is a group buy of a good sized group we may be able to add another discount. We want to work with customers as much as possible because we want to be here for a while. We absolutely love the Solstice and think it’s a shame that more aftermarket items aren’t available. Our ultimate goal at ASTI is to eventually have all of the Solstice body panels available in Carbon Fiber. We chose to start with the engine bay because many people were asking for another styled engine cover.

Yes......FG = Fiber Glass.

This version will come made completely of fiberglass fabric with an expoxy surface coat. It will have the same shape minus the look of CF and clear coat. This option is for painting the cover to match your car's color or maybe some kind of flame job or cool graphics.
