Oh boy, a mini Camaro. I really fell in love with the new Camaro when I first saw it. But after seeing a billion and a half of them on the road, they no longer do it for me. I'm sick of seeing them.

There are some strong styling cues from Chevy II and Nova that I also like. Seems like a perfect work week car to keep the miles down on my Solstice!

It's a nice looking car, but if they want any kind of performance out of it, they're gonna have to put in a meatier engine. Everything I've seen written on it says they would put the turbocharged 1.4L in it. If it comes in around the weight of a BMW 1 series (3252 lbs), at 150 hp it is going to be severely under-powered, IMO. Don't know why they wouldn't put in the turbo 2.0L that will be offered with the Caddy ATS.

Because this is the first edition of the new dressed up clown car series required to comply with upcoming CAFE standards:

"The Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or CAFE, standards require an automaker’s fleet of passenger vehicles to average 54.5 mpg by 2025. That number extends existing CAFE rules, which set the fleet average at 35.5 mpg for 2016, up from the current level of 27.5 mpg."

Any reference that I have found to the 2.0 Turbo being installed in the 130R for a "Performance Edition" has been nothing but complete speculation on part of the Automotive Editorial Writers.

This is the future: Under Powered People Movers.

Japan has tons of them and they get around more proficiently then us in North America.

What you do with it after getting it is your choice. GM has to meet that specification not you.

What I think he meant was that even its a small engine with low power you can make it work, or if you don't like the powertrain switch it out, just Like so many have done to the sol with the ls swaps

Looks like the love child of a Camaro's drunken night with a Sonic.
