Just for the records: My previous rating of the GXP suspension is not valid anymore. It turned out that the left rear damper did not work. It was leaking oil, most likely from the first day. The damper was just replaced by the same type (Bilstein C648) and the driving experience changed a lot. I had not thought that a rear damper has so much influence on the way the car handles at all. Have to do more tests, but can already say that the suspension has improved significantly. The car is not rolling anymore (or much less) when going into curves, which caused almost some fear before. You can drive much cleaner lines through curves and it rattles much less when driving over rough surfaces.
It seems that I am not the only with a leaking damper when I look into this forum or the German Opel-GT forum. So check your shocks for oil leaks from time to time. I wouldn't be surprised if even some cars used in reviews suffered from this problem.
The new damper together with my new PCMforless tune turned the car into a merciless driving machine!
