Great way to wake up! We just found out we we're in the Montgomery paper today. Think they are affiliated with USA today since originally the photographer was coming up from there. Thanks Barry for the heads up.
this is wonderful, Sol_Couple and hopefully the papparazzi will be so busy at KC pursuing the famous pair, an incognito pair can slip around unnoticed

This thread started while I was on my 23 day Solstice cruise of the western US and Canada. I've got a lot of reading to catch up on in this thread and the USA article. But this thread is truly the best of the Forum. While getting a Pontiac Solstice is a life-changing event, THIS event is a life-creating event! Congratulations to both of you.
And who was it that told one of you (I can't remember which) weeks before this thread started that you needed to start a thread about your romance?

Yes you did! You told me to post the story here before it broke.
I'm the world's greatest procrastinator.
We are still adjusting to the changes here and haven't been driving enough lately. Looks like we'll only be taking one car, it's better, cheaper, and safer for us that way. Anne says hers, no argument here, but no room for souveniers. Hers has more mods done to it.
Are you rested up yet enough to make it to K.C. in a few days?
How's your warranty holdin' out, Giz? You have it extended?
Funny, when it comes to about anything else, I'm the luckiest thing on the face of the earth.
Now when it comes to men...well that's a whole other story!!
I'll take any of the above , luck, right place right time , EVEN blind luck. Again be careful what we wish for, and make sure we're ready, I think I'm having problems with the ready part.

Ah, actually, it usually doesn't happen until the ready part comes into play, otherwise we're just not paying attention

See ya in K.C!!!
Oh yeah, I'm always ready for another roadtrip!
Regarding the warranty, I got extended to 5 years (fogedabouit) and 75,000 miles GMPP, so I've still got over 50,000 miles left on it (current mileage is 22,297.
Taking just one car to Kansas City is the smart thing. Be sure to get those duffle bags from Wal-Mart that Mitch told us about. $10 each. I'm getting mine today. Wish I had them on my 11,000 mile Solstice roadtrip!

I will relay the info about the duffle bags to Solsticegal. She is the primary baggage handler and gets upset when I try to arrrange things.
But that's not all that she does . . .
Additionally, she assumes the duties of stewardess, co-pilot, medical attendant, radio/communications operator, key grip, wardrobe coordinator, props coordinator, complaint department, fuel-level advisor, and provides great comic relief!
I'm just a pilot, navigator, cameraman, fuel attendant (that does windows), and onboard electro-mechanical tech.
