I see many posts posts about "how many miles do you have on your XYZ...".
That's all fine and what-not to compare service histories, recall work, and general maintenance. I speak for the Kappa community when I say, "We all want our cars to run well regardless of age or miles".
But...
I 'd like to share my own, personal non-Kappa mileage acheivement.
For those into cycling, my name should say a lot. A "roadie" is one found of road bikes: racings bikes, skinny tire bikes, 10-speeds, "Breaking Away", etc...the spandex wearing, shaved leg, shaved everything, bright colored, often "in-the-way" cyclists that you occassionally see riding down your streets in packs or sometimes on their own. For the record, I obey all traffic laws and am not a fanatic to the extreme shaving degree. I resemble a slow, overgrown Yeti on 2 wheels.
With my disclosure properly set, I state the following:
My mileage since 1/1/1999 (when I began tracking at 24.5 age) just surpassed 100,000 kilometers tonight. That's 62,138 miles for the metric-impaired.
I just thought it would be fun to share what my legs, lungs, and sore butt have gone through in comparison to some of our vehicles. No recalls here, though my intake system has diminished greatly (adult onset asthma). I wonder what the code for that is?
I could care less if you say "whoop-dee-doo" since this is a personal acheivement. I appreciate kind words if this does mean something to you. That's all...
