Need help on receiving money with Paypal

Hi, can someone please walk me SLOWLY through the steps to get set up on Paypal so I can receive and send money? I have had a "personal" account for a year or three, do I have to upgrade? I've paid for a couple of things in all those years, so my experience is next to nil. Thanks!

If you have paid for things with Paypal then you have already sent money. You recieve money the same way in that someone would send money to your account. If someone sends you money you would simply have a credit to use the next time you went to purchase something.

In other words if someone sent you $50 you now would have a $50 credit to spend when you want to purchase something. Less the Paypal fees of course.

Thanks for the reply. I rarely use Paypal to purchase anything, is there a procedure to get the money into my bank account? Also, what does Paypal charge if someone wants to send me $450?

I really need precise instructions in how to do this.

You really need to go to the paypal site and read the instructions:

On the home page it gives full instructions on what to do:

Hints:

Make sure you account is up to date with a current credit card or bank account on file.

Its all about e-mail accounts that link people moving money to paypal.

Remember both parties must be enrolled in paypal.
