The one person that we worked to death back then and helped us out of the kindest of his heart was Cricket Staggs, getting everyone updates on where their cars was in production. Wonder if he still lurkes around here?

I guess I was one of the lucky ones when I took delivery of my Aggressive in January 2006. It only took 30 days from order to delivery for me to get mine. At that time people were still waiting 6 months for delivery. I enjoy my GXP just as much as the first day I took my N/A home. After a rough day at work it relaxes me to go for a little ride with the top down. I'm still addicted to the forum after all this time. I check it before I check my emails.

I was pretty lucky also, put deposit down August 16, 2005 on my first Sol and got delivery November 21, 2005, well, it wasn't really the one I ordered but it came in first so I GRABED it!!! Paid MSRP.
November 8, 2006 welcomed home my turbo charged GXP!!! THIS was the one I ordered! Got GMS pricing on this one
I still look at this car and can't hardly believe I own this cool car The car is still a blast and I can't even start on all the people his car has allowed us to find!

Ordered 11/12/05
Black, manual trans, Premium package, power package, convenience package, floor mats, AC, XM radio, LSD, and Polished Wheels Produced 6/1! VIN:18718
Mods: Fujita CAI, Stubbie Attenna, Lil Chromies, Third Brake Overlay, 35% Tint. Solo Headers, Solo Exhaust.
I am on my second solstice. I still remember the days of checking the progress by sending build codes to small dealer. I waited six months for my 06 to be built. Remember when it was built and tracking it on its train/truck ride from the factory. The excitement of the call from the dealer saying come and pick it up.
Gosh I loved that car. Then the GXP came out. My thoughts strayed and I cheated and got a divorce from my 1st love, and continued with my love affair with my GXP. Many mod meets and fun changes and I am still in love with my GXP. I do wonder sometimes what happened to my first. Does someone own it who loves it and treats it well. Gosh I hope so.
My thoughts on the car... more difficult to buy than Nuclear weapons on the black market! I am up to 4 that have been sold out from under me this year! It's been a long wait, and it's gonna be a long time to wipe the permagrin from my once that wait is finally over with!

I still read every post that I can... I lost my usefullness when GM took away my ability to check other dealers orders and I fell to the wayside like every other "Solstice assistant" that lost his usefullness.. That and I got tired of aguing with members about GM and Salespeople and such...
Glad to see that I am still thought of on occasion... I still don't have the Solstice, but I did join the ranks of trans am owners since I last posted.. Pics are on my putfile or myspace account

I bought my Solstice 6 hours after I located it on November 15, 2005. I didn't think I should join the forum until I had my car. So I joined the next day. I haven't looked back. Great car, great times, great people.

I guess I qualify as an old-timer in more ways than one:
1) Joined the Solstice Forum in March 2005, but so many were already here
2) Over sixty years of age
3) Over 65,000 miles on my Solstice
4) The Number Three Poster of all time on the Solstice Forum: 8,047.
But thanks for starting this thread, Sol-Candy. So many great Forum members have come and gone, but nice to see so many that are still here.
Glad you're still around, Cricket. You were always one of the angels of the Forum.
