Here is my update ... for those who have been asking
Most probably know that I first joined the forum when I was one of the 1st 40 overseas Armed Forces Members to reserve a 2006 Sol. I later found out that GM and ENCS broke off their 20+ year sales agreement ... which left myself, Frosty and many others "Sol Less."
Next, I jumped on the Sky wagon and was lucky enough to get #2 on the list in Montgomery, AL ... only to find out my dealer wanted to charge me $1995 over MSRP (upon returning from Iraq) and once again I was burned.
I received many PMs along the way offering up Sols at MSRP, but I just was too bitter from my previous dealings. I want to thank everyone for the offers and tips. I desided to buy the GXP, while on my leave earlier this month and began to let a few members know in PMs. I did not want to say anything, until the deal was solid so I wanted to wait. I was going to go gthrough a SF members dealership, but found out some interesting news while on leave in Montgomery, AL (my home town).
I walked into the deaership and said "I am looking at Sols ..." and he stated that he had one coming in soon. I asked if anyone is on their GXP list and he looked confused. I guess most want the car ASAP and do not have patience to wait.
I am now #1 on the GXP list in Montgomery, AL and the dealer sales at MSRP. I told him about my previous situation and joked that I may "snap" if burned for the 3rd time! The dealership has sold their Sols at MSRP, so I am pretty confident in the deal.
The only thing I need to deside now is what color to pick. I really like yellow, but think that I am going with red (agressive). However, I guess that I have some time to make my final choice. I guess now I need to add a new signature and begin my Troll transformation.
Again, thanks to everyone who offered me advice and support ... (too many to list) and I look foward to owning a GXP. The loooong wait begins!
did you get msrp in writing, might be a very good idea.
and troll transformation isn't required, check my location!
To be honest they all look great and the spoiler looks much better than I thought it would. BTW, I still have not seen a Solstice in person! I saw my first Lotus up close last week and was not excited at all with the car! The car looked like a toy and not in a good way.

I assume you got that MSRP in writing, right? Just in case
Roger ... and I reminded him that I would hunt him down, if he failed to follow through. I really like the yellow too, just not sold 100%;however, yellow would not be as common.
One question, I saw that the GXP car had red stitching and the GXP logo in red on the seats ... so will it be in red on all models? If so, I think it would flow best with the red car.

I'll look around and see what I can find out
