A war also creates jobs and lowers unemployment.
My debate partner and I had a "joke" plan back in 1975 to reduce unemplyment by starting a controlled war with the then USSR. They send their dissidents, we send our indigents, everyone wins. Only problem was that some folks thought we were serious.
