That is not a FM only picture upload, which are attachments as thumbnails, see example enclosed, but simply or not so simply to some an embedded link to a putfile with image in tag. Jury is out on whether that is okay with Troy and the elders. Definitely a no-no in signature as that is one of the rudest things at other forums as you have to see same humongous pic over and over while hunting for the message.

Man ... I am dangerous now! BTW, this was taken last week at "The Full Metal Jacket" while I was in Ramadi giving some briefings. I posted other pics on my OIF III Blog.

Pics display are turned off in the signatures, for that very specific reason. You can have links in your sig, but the image tags will not display a picture.

You can embed pics using the image tag in a post. No probs there. FM's, TBA supporting members program participants, and supporting vendors can attach pics of limited size.

I believe all can add pictures to the gallery, but only up to a certain amount total KB on the server (can't immediately recall the limitation).

Putfile is a good solution, however, many companies will actually block putfile, so some folks cannot look at the picture and embedded image-tagged pics show up as an "X".

Thanks Solsticeman. Pics are always good, except when as I am sure you experience all the time with dialup a full page pic in the sig with a one word reply takes up time better spent elsewhere. And we do have a procedure here for submitting pics to the gallery, although I don't have an upload button available to me on any gallery page.

A refresher course would be helpful in how to.

edited: well now I see it, maybe it only works with first browser open.

Thanks ... normally I try to act silly, but I just took the "battle rattle" off (the Under Armor was still damp) and I was tired from the "red eye" Blackhawk flight. BTW, That was my VIP room at the "Ramadi Inn"

. About 10 minutes later it rained a little ... but not the wet stuff!
