Trip east

Left Iowa on October 6th. Travelled to the New Hampshire area to see the fall foliage. Do to the heavy rains the leaves were gone. We had to take detours around flooded areas. We had rain on the entire trip. One good thing was the detours wre made for the Solstice. The winding roads in the Stoddard Area are fantastic to drive on with the Solstice. I have over 2000 miles on it. No problems with the car what so ever. Each time we stopped people start talking about the car. Many of the people asked question about the car. The car does sell its self. People love the car and so does my wife and I. The highest mpg in the mountain area was about 24. on the way back getting in the more level areas mpg 26.4. We are in Ohio now. Hoping for better mpg. Once again the car the car ran flawless. Will have close to 3000 mi. on it when we reach Sioux City Ia. When we reached Clevland we were able to put the top down very nice weather.

How did you handle the trunk/luggage issue on your trip. Interested to know my wife and I will be taking a trip once it arrives (this week crossing my fingers).

Sorry that you had to hit bad weather this year SCI.
It’s still raining!! They are telling us that it should stop sometime tomorrow. When we saw all the flooding over in the western part of the state we were concerned that you might get caught up in it. Glad to hear that you made it out ok.

flaj We arrived home today 2:00 PM. Your part of the country is beautiful know matter the weather. We enjoyed sitting in front of a fire in the cabin and having a few drinks. Of course my wife had to hit the gift shops. All in all we had a wonderful time. The Solistice really helped.

Soldstice. We used the zip lock bag method they come in various sizes. Then bring some shopping bags and when you get to your motel or where ever. You transfer the zip lock bags you need to the shopping bag or bags. The desk people may look at you a little strange. do'nt let that bother you. It works rather well. I now have 3300 mi. on VIN 855. MPG average was 25. But who cares, with all the attention you get.
