Windshield Replacement

I need to replace the windshield in Roady. Anyone know if it is available outside of the dealer?

Yes but some have been dissapointed by outside vendors when it comes to the windshield...Check to make sure you don't have a glass clause in your insurance policy before you shell money out

Sure it is, just call any ( a few) auto glass installers.

But do yourself a favor - call your insurance co. first.
They will work with you and may recommend an installer.

I own a small auto glass co.
Do check your ins. policy for coverage under comp.
If your comfortable with the agent ask them, but remember some ins companies will recomend the cheapest replacement that is in their interest(not all).
I use PPG 95% of the time and would have no problem installing it in mine.
You can get the OEM from GM that does have the GM logo in the middle down low. It will cost more but if you have ins coverage, it should only cost you your deductible.
hope that helps a little.

All of the OEM glass is made by Crinamex.

No one has posted about getting a PPG windscreen.
It has been posted that Pilkington is making them.

All of the replacement glass is required to meet the same safety standards. Sometimes optical and safety standards are not quite as high for replacement glass.

Windshield damage was from Houston TX traffic. The big trucks throw rocks like rain around here.

We already installed a clear bra and we can tell how much it helped the front end.

Looking around myself - I cracked mine at T2TR. I hope to find one from a wreck. As stated by others - definitely non GM branded is available... Thus far been quoted 300 and 350 for non dealer.

Anyone know what the GM dealer price is/was on theirs? I guess I am feeling lazy...
