Yes, I am driving a Test Vehicle now with an Auto Transmission. Very Impressive, Very Responsive. And, to top it off, a very nice console appearance.
But how's the speed really, I have to get an auto and sell my standard, I thought for an auto you would have to have a GXP, that a regular one would be to pokey ?

Automatic transmission is now available to order through VOMS. It is not available through GM DealerWord Order WorkBench. So it has to be ordered or changed through the older VOMS system. This should mean that current orders can be changed to automatic transmission. It is not currently show in the salesperson order tool, AutoBook, but that could change in a day or two with the next data update.
There are no constraints for automatic transmission in this weeks dealership order cycle.
Just thought everyone should know.

After I saw Small Dealer's post on the latest update for ordering an automatic Solstice I contacted my dealer. The good news is that my order will be in on Tuesday the 17th of January and he said they begin production immediately thereafter. I thought production wasn't starting until February but he informed me the schedule was moved up. He told me to expect my Solstice to be delivered in February---March the latest.
Man, I cannot wait. If anyone thinks I'm an arrogant jerk now (and plenty do) they will certainly despise me when I am cruising around town with the top down blasting some cool tunes.
Does anyone know of a place on-line where I can put in my production number and check the status of my vehicle?

your production number is your VOMS number..simply the order number..assigned to your order..it now sits in your dealer allocation pool awaiting to be preferenced by GM..based on how many allocations your dealer has....do you know what he has..and where you are on his list..in comparison to the number of allocations he currently has??

Yep, he has one this week and i'm #2. This week was a stick and supposidly next week i'm it with an Automatic.
I've been following this since Aug to try to understand how allocations work.
I thought from what i had read that allocations were on a Quarterly basis. But my Sales Manager always talks about weekly allocations. I thougth he should be able to give me a more difinative answer as to when it will be picked up by GM for production.

First dealerships have been given an estimated four month allocation number. This is later broken down into monthly numbers, usually two months at at time. Then finally, the monthly quanity is broken into weekly order cycle numbers. This information is availabe to dealerships through several different reports.

Thank You! Again! Small Dealer- My sales Manager says thank you for the information on how to get the order done. He tried it his way, I told him what you said. He said we don't do it that way any more, we just use work order. Then he tried it your way and it then came through on work order after it was in VOMS. Again thank you for your help.

Another Automatic Transmission note.
It appears based on current information, that regardless of which interior ordered (Cloth or Premium Package w/Leather appointments), the shift control knob will be "urethane". It will not be available "leather wrapped".
All 5-speed manual transmissions will include a "leather wrapped" shift knob.
