Notice the addition of the additional charge for #34 Mean Yellow paint.
Now I have to wonder about that Chrome-Wheel price for the GXP. Logic would say it should only be a $250 charge on the GXP. Will have to watch for future confirmation or change.
GM's offical press release. It does appear that it was planned to happen on the Summer Solstice.

Pontiac Announces Solstice GXP Pricing
[/b]New Turbocharged Roadster to Sell for Under $26K[/b]
Detroit - At the height of the summer solstice, Pontiac today announced that the turbocharged 2007 Solstice GXP will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $25,995, including a $600 destination charge. The 260-horsepower roadster arrives in Pontiac dealerships this fall.
Powered by GM's new direct injection, turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecotec engine, the Solstice GXP adds a 47 percent boost of power to augment the road-gripping performance and seductive styling already available in the base model roadster.
"The passion customers have for the Solstice continues to amaze us and we have been sold out of the 2006 models for the past couple of months," said Mark-Hans Richer, Pontiac marketing director. "There's already a waiting list for the 2007 models, so we believe the GXP will only extend the Solstice's position as the top-selling roadster in the U.S., proving that a domestic car can retake a segment previously dominated by imports."
Model year to date through May, Pontiac has sold 15,145 Solstices, outselling the closest competitor in the segment by more than 2,600 units. Solstice remains one of the industry's hottest selling cars, contributing to a 20 percent increase in Pontiac showroom traffic since the beginning of the year and double digit percent sales gains in key coastal markets.
Pontiac is a division of General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM) and markets the G6 sedan, coupe and retractable hardtop convertible, GTO, Solstice roadster, Torrent SUV, Grand Prix, and Vibe. Later in 2006, Pontiac will introduce the turbocharged Solstice GXP roadster and G5 sports coupe. Pontiac sold more than 437,000 vehicles in 2005, ranking third among GM divisions in total sales.

Sharp-eyed Brian, the other news from today (that I was able to beat you too ) is that the first allocation cycle for the GXP could start tomorrow, June 22nd. Dealerships should be able to see reports with initial numbers.

The premium package on the base Solstice is 690.00 but for the GXP is 525.00, the reasoning is that some of the premium package is standard on the GXP just the leather seat's are not.

Dealerships should be able to see an allocation report today that includes the order cycles of June 22nd and July 13th for the 2007 Sosltice GXP.
The order cycle starts on Thursday and runs through Tuesday. Different things happen on different days. If by "process" you mean when GM "picks up" the orders and starts scheduling them for production, that will not happen until after the week's cycle ends on Tuesday. By next Thursday or Friday, any GXP order that is "picked up" in this cycle could have a Target Production Week.
Will know more tomorrow with the release of the weekly constriant report.

Ok... cool. My dealer told me that he can submit the order the first week of July. But what you are telling me is that he should be able to submit the order tomorrow if everything turns out ok.

I have this huge knot in my stomach.... and I don't know why. LOL
I've sent e-mail to my inventory manager, and no word back yet.....
Everyone, bow your heads and pray with me.....
Dear (enter your own deity here), please let my dealer call me tomorrow with an allocation for the GXP, and tell me my order is going in. Please allow me to receive this GXP post-haste, and not have any Dori-san type accidents with it. In this I pray. Amen.

assuming the dealership gets an allocation for a GXP this cycle......they can always submit the order into VOMs....awaiting the allocation from GM...

Orders have been able to be submitted to VOMS and GM Order Work Bench since late April. They just sit in a dealership's order bank/pool until the dealership receives an allocation slot.
Tommorrow is the start of allocation. The process where Pontiac starts to take orders from the dealership order banks/pools and pull them for adding to the produciton schedule. This will only be for dealerships that receive an allocation slot.
That is what you will be waiting to hear form your dealership, when are they getting their first allocation slot.
