Thanks for your response. This is the kind of info I'm interested in... To see what the plant has on it's plate. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if my coupe shows up!
My compliments to all that you provide to this forum!
There are several hundred Coupe orders showing in the system at event codes from #3000 to #3400. The plant will be reopenning later this month to complete the 2009 production run.

Very interesting, S.D. Last I (we?) heard, the factory restarting was in doubt. Have you received positive confirmation it will start up and build the VIN-less cars promised to dealers?
SD... Maybe you can help. I am waiting for Vin 447 (paid for) and the dealership gave me a OrderWorkbench listing showing the event history. There is a bunch of codes listed in calender order 3800, 4000, 4150, 4200, 4300 (6/19/2009) then three out of order entries 4B00 (Bayed). Do you know what is happening to my coupe? Gary

I just traded PMs with SD with regard to my car's event code. Unfortunately, since the car has been paid for, and subsequently reported as "delivered," he--and the selling dealer---can no longer check the car's event code. Since you've also paid for your car, you're in the same boat as me.
S.D. did add that the dealer can still call the DBC, and try them for information. The dealer is *probably* doing as much already....

I am just a franchised Pontiac dealership, how would I hear any confirmation on anything. GM isn't giving out any information about Pontiac. It is all LaCrosse and Terrain, Buick and GMC now.
Basing it on the fact that the orders still show in the system, that a few GM employees have posted to imply it, and the GMLineDog has now confirmed that he has heard it.

The easy way to think of "Bayed" is to substitute the word "Parked" instead.
Also, sorry for the slight confussion on 4300. It is an indermidiate delivery stop code on the way to the dealership. When I redid the individual color posts, grouped anything from 4200 to 4800 as "shipped" and 5000 as at dealership "In Stock". Didn't make the same adjustment to the first post.

Parked.... UGH. Well, I guess for me, it's sit down (another name for park it) and wait for #447 to show up. Thank you SD for all the information you share with us on the forum. gpc2008

Hey. I had a dealer check up on a Hydro blue coupe I was interested in which was scheduled for delivery June24, but hadn't arrived as of June 30. The guy (with Jerry's/Weatherford) tracked it down and found out it was in Michigan. Hence, I bought a red one instead.
It could be that your car is in Michigan waiting on shipment to Texas with a bunch of others.
Not very comforting, perhaps, but ... Hang in there.
Korval, Thanks for the encourgement. How can anybody figure Michigan is on the way to Texas when leaving from Delaware? My dealer, doing more searching told me the car is waiting for others to be shipped in a bunch.... He did not mention anything about MI. I guess one must wait for really good things and on the bright side I still have my 08 Vert to look good in. gpc

When one door closes, another opens. When one incentive ends, another starts.
For those still in market.
Today, July 7th, Pontiac is starting a Summer Sales Event (as are other GM Divisions), and it is called the Pontiac Summer Closeout.
Like other recent GM sales events, it is price based for easy understanding and communication. Especially for internet shoppers. It will feature the option for dealerships to produce price labels for their inventory, so "the price you see, is the price you pay".
To make it easy for the consumer, it features a fixed price calculation as the base sales price before inventives are applied. The GM Supplier Discount Price is the price used, which is the same as the College Grad, Military, and Credit Union price.
Here is where it gets to the part you all will care about.
If a dealership elects to participate in the sales event, all their inventory must be offered at the fixed calculated (Supplier/Credit Union) price. By selling the first car/truck under the program a dealership accepts the program in whole for the remaining sales of the month.
So if a dealership wants to use the program, they must sell their Solstice Coupes at the event pricing. Which would be Supplier Price less the $500 Consumer Cash and less the $2,000 Bonus Cash (equal to last month's Owner's Appreciation Bonus Cash).
Now, there is one possible way for a dealership to exclude a specific vehicle. That would require the inclusion of After Market Equipment on it, so that the use of event pricing is not appropriate. But these cars must be removed from dealership web sites (or at least request removal) by close of business today.
So watch those dealership web sites the next couple days to see the Coupe prices.

I dropped by Jerry's today to ask if they ever got the blue coupe in, and they said that it was still being held in Michigan "until they could get a full truck load".
Cheap #@#$!%...
Anyway, I hope that you've received yours already and stuff. Myself, I was curious to see what the blue looked like in person so I could kick myself for not waiting for it.
Oh, wait, I'm glad I didn't wait for it.
I like my red one.
Anyway, good luck, and I hope everybody's coupes arrive soon...

The Solstices that will be built/finish over the next two weeks are all orders that were previously accepted by the Production Management System. Probably back in March/April.
Some of these cars were ordered as Retail Stock. So at the time they were ordered they were not sold. They maybe sold now though.
