Additional information should arrive in a week or so on a New Model Year Update DVD for salespeople. Later this Spring, there may even be web based new technical feature training for service techs available.
UPDATES

*The new wheel choice, the Q9X Pearl Nickel painted aluminum wheels has now been deleted form the 2009 Solstice Order Guide information. So it looks like they are a no go.

Looks like it will be Brazen's turn for a special model to start 2009.
This week's GM AutoBook update is now showing a new model for 2009, the (2MK67) Solstice Street Edition. It appears to be along the same lines as the 2008 SCCA special championship editions. A fully loaded one color car.
Some of the information in the AutoBook listing:
-Brazen with Darkside Top
-Black Accent Stripe
-Black Bezel Treatment Headlamps
-18" Polished Aluminum Split Spoke Wheels
-Performance Suspension with Adjustible Valve Monotube Shoock Absorbers
-Brushed Aluminum Sill Plates
-Ebony Leather Trim with Orange Accent Stiching on Seatback, Steering Wheel and Shifter
-2.4L Engine
-Only option is Rear Spoiler and choice of Transmission
More information when it becomes available.

I haven't even got the car that I ordered a few weeks ago. I ordered Deep and had I been getting a 2009 I probably would have ordered the Wicked.
Waited long enough for the damn thing though so I am waiting for the Deep. Have build date for the first week in May!
Can't wait!!!!

I think I'm in love...
Mods: lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies and red calipers with black Solstice stickers!

SD, will this soon to arrive update DVD contain actual pictures of the new colors and wheels on a Solstice? I'd love to see what it actually looks like instead of the usual GM photoshop/render.
I'm guessing the new wheels are the ones we saw on the Solstice Coupe at the auto show....That split spoke design...
I'm very excited about these updates with blutooth and the two new colors. I love my Deep, and hope the new Deep is at least as pretty. I also can't wait to go find out what the Merlot looks like! Like all gearheads, I wish there was a power upgrade for the GXP and I wish the front grills had been updated to look like the G8 (inset black with chrome surrounds).....

Same rendering, just like the Skys that were posted.
Not sure GM uses real photographs anywhere.

IIRC .. someone on the Sky forum said that the new RED was already in use by Saturn ... on the VUE

Ugh, and here I thought vague descriptions and lack of consistency was mostly confined to the government and software industry. Does it really kill them to take pictures of the test builds or is that not good enough?

GM sure has a thing for re-using SUV colors on sports cars. At least I was able to track down a Torrent with metallic gray before that one came out. This was at an auto show, however; in CA you don't see any GM SUVs that aren't Chevy or GMC, only the occasional Cadillac or Hummer if you're paying close attention.
