Hi I am from Canada and I ordered my Solstice at the Vancouver car show in April and I just picked it up from the dealership Tuesday Jan 17/06. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!

We ordered on 4/14/05, just got picked up and are now at code 3400. I have NEVER been so patient. Anyone else been waiting this long?

I just ordered my Solstice and she'll be an automatic in RED. I have been reading the postings on the Solstice for several months now and it has been very informative and has helped me to finalize my discision to buy one. Thanks to all who post comments!
I ordered August 18th and still at event code 1100. Those who ordered in April and still haven't received their car have it worse than me. I won't whine anymore!

As my signature indicates, I ordered on 6/1 and just went to 3400 on 1/13. I thought I was finally number one for something! Now I see that I might not even be in the top 5 or 10 With the production numbers picking up, I think it will go to 3800 next week.

It's a bummer. But alot of dealers only had a allocation of say 4 but took orders for maybe 18, so you order didn't go in untill recently. If your dealer had said something you, you probably would of went to a different dealer that had more allocations or less orders, then you would of been picked up sooner. But dealers don't want to loose a sale.

I assume that you didn't know about The Apprentice Show which was held on that same evening. Otherwise, I think, you could have ordered one of the 1st 1k, no?? And, you would have had it by now. Comments, please...
My wife and I have waited just as long. We ordered 4/16/05. We're next in line at the dealership for our order to be picked up, but it doesn't seem like it'll ever happen. I am getting so sick of people asking me every week if I've gotten it yet. I try explaining to them abou the whole ordering process and the big demand, but they always give me this blank stare.

this seems to be the case for most who ordered in Apr/May/Jun/Jul timeframe and still havent even been preferenced!!!! .....more orders than allocations ....seems unfair the dealership wasnt really upfront with the customer....in explaining how it all worked...

Actually we were aware of the apprentice show and were a part of the fiasco that occurred nationwide the next day, when most dealerships could not even access the website to place orders. Check out posts on this site around 4/14/05 for more info, it was a mess. Actually, the folks that talked about allocation hit the nail on the head. Our dealer was only allocated one car during the first 4 month allocation and didn't get around to telling us that. By the time I understood the process (with the help of the excellent people on this site,), We decided the heck with it, we'll wait, (and not lose the deposit) and finally the order got pulled. Today we went to 3800, yeehaw!!

There is a dealership in the area that put in an order for a Solstice a couple weeks ago and the person backed out of the order. I can take over but I want to know how long its going to be before I get into it. The dealer doesn't really know because its a small place and this is the first one they've ordered. Anyway, I sent an e-mail to pontiac with the ticket # and they said "We show order # JVDHH7 has been accepted by the factory, but it has not yet started production at this time." This doesn't really help me out much because I don't know how long it takes once production starts anyway. I'd really appreciate any info I could get on this. Thanks.
I ordered October 3. Checked dealer today, I am ninth in line sitting at 1100. Said they are getting a couple in per month. I guess that means I'll see mine in June/July?
