I left them a message to call me. My salesman is out delivering a car. Will let you know when he calls back. I only have a copy of the Vehicle Order Detail.
I do call them often... and as of last week it had not been picked up for production. This is a large dealer & out of 44 orders for the Solstice they have delivered approx 14... I am now #8 in line (as far as I know). Even their sales mgr is still waiting!
My first post, so sorry if this covers old ground.
I ordered in November. My salesman told me this morning I'm up to #3000, "order accepted by production control". He also said that I have a target build date of Feb 22, but can he know this if I don't have a #3300, "order scheduled for production"? I know the definitions of the codes, but I'm not clear on what the REALLY mean. Thanks.

again all based on allocations...how many allocations in the last three periods did they have.....sounds like more orders than allocations to me..you need to specifically ask is your order prioritized for one of their remaining allocations for 06 model year at this point.....they should know how many more to expect for the model year already!!!....

you are in good standing since your car has been picked up or preferenced...I would guesstimate you have 6-8 weeks to go to see it now

Ok... just spoke to their inventory manager. After waiting for 8 1/2 months now... they still have no event history code for me. He told me that all of the orders are entered as SOLD, but in the preliminary system. I was told that they have only delivered 9 out of the 44 on order. AND... they may have ONE allocated next week!!
I'm getting really upset here ... I may start calling other dealerships. Problem is that I'm set on getting a Pure.

they should at least show an 1100 code....if it is sitting in their dealer allocation pool..which is sounds like it is...it simply means they have way more orders than allocations for cars....poorly misinforming the customer here and doing a real bad job of expectation management..do a gmbuypower search and see what comes up!!!!

Sounds to me as if you are in for a LONG wait - sorry!
If you are now #8 and they may have one allocated next week - that could mean that the next allocation is a ways off - thus putting your order several months down the line.
I would do a vehile search online within a 100 miles of your zip code to see what might be available and where. Good Luck!

Thanks smartin... no XM, no A/C... but I would run down there in a heartbeat if it had everything.
PS... the Pure in Seattle the are asking for 4,000 over MSRP. Just spoke to them!
What do you ned A/C for in Washington? Doubt it would get hot enough there to get past the top down time.
Don't believe everything you hear! Besides the rain... we have streaks of 90 degree weather for 30-45 days. It's really not as bad as you think. The sun came out a couple of hours ago for about 30 minutes!!!

Where did you order yours from?
What color?
When you get yours you will love it!

PAO, MomsSol, and others are giving great advice. Get better information from your dealers. If things are going too slow for you, check around for available cars. It's amazing how many pop up without a current buyer, many at MSRP. Do the search.

I feel so sorry for you folks who've had to wait up to 8-9 months. gmbuypower.com is your friend. There are cars on lots with no owners. It's your job to go find one. At MSRP or less. When you have an order in the system, the dealer has leverage over you. When they have a car on the lot that they are paying interest on, you have leverage over them.
