No 09 for me. I think I'll stick with this one for awile. But now I have to wait to get her until next week. Got into work this morning and was informed that they are firing the worthless person who is my counterpart in our San Fransico office. Firing would take place immediatly and they need me to be on a plane at 11:00am to go out there and "clean house". So he will be let go as soon as I get there and one of our other designers will be let go Wednesday. I'll be out there for 3 weeks hiring and training replacements. So I dropped off my 07 after work today and will pick up the 08 when I get back. I'll be coming back in on Tuesday to pick her up and head to the dragon but then I fly right back out again on Sunday to be there another 2 weeks.

So anyone in the San Fran area want to get together this weekend? I'll be Sol-less but would still like to meet my right coast brothers and sisters.

Wish me luck I hate walking in to a place feeling like the executioner. But sometimes it's really fun

So I'm sittin' in San Francisco, alone, I don't know anyone other then the 3 people that I just fired and I'm Sol-less. What's a girl to do? Tomorrow is Summer Solstice and I have no where to go. Anyone have any suggestions?

My worst nightmare! Stuck in San Francisco with no Sol .... probably alot of Prius and Miata cars to rent around there.

BTW, I test drove your car before I left ATL on Wednesday and it makes an odd noise around 120ish.

Thank you Stang that is a great ideal and Avis is where I got my rental from. I leave today to fly back to Atlanta and pick up the new Sol and head to the Dragon but I fly back out to SFO on Sunday night. I think I will be asking for that upgrade on my trip back!! Thanks for the heads up!

So I picked her up the day we left for the dragon. Drove from the dealership straight up there. Wow it was alot of fun breaking her in while heading up there (don't worry, I'm a pro at this breaking in thing now ). When I was at the dealership they had her sitting under the roof of the front door. I did do the whole walk around thing and pointed out a rock chip on the front grill but didn't see anything else. But when I got up to the dragon I was standing around with LadyT and CajunSky and in the sunlight could see that the whole hood was cloudy, actually a different color from the bumper and there is a dent right above where the inner-cooler pipe is. When we got home on Sunday I had to fly right back out to San Fran so I wasn't able to take it back in. I called the dealership on Monday and explained what I had found, they told me to bring it in as soon as I got back. Which I did this past Monday. They took it over to the body shop and the manager agreed, it is a different color. So I will be dropping it off this Monday and they are going to fix the dent and repaint the hood and front fenders. I do love her though, not much different then the 07, I now have XM and I'm loving it. I think I will be renewing it when the trial period is over. I miss not having shiney chrome wheels but I can live without them.

So after painting the hood and side fenders it still didn't match the rest of the body. After a call to GM they agreed to repaint the whole entire car.

So they've had it since last Monday, July 14th and it won't be ready until Friday. 2 weeks in a rental, 2 of the prettiest weeks we've seen all summer!!! I'm a little bummed right now. But on the other hand they are going to throw in the painting on of the stripes. Yeah!
