As I remember, they are mailing out 18.8 million letters and sending 2.5 million emails about the GM Owner Appreciation Program.
But unlike some other incentives, it is not neccessary to have received a certificate in the mail/email. As long as one qualifies, they can take advantage. All salespeople should be up to speed on the program now and as part of the process should be asking if there is a GM vehicle at the buyers home.

Dealer had info showing 1999 or newer own or lease to be eligible for loyalty cash. (guess my long term loyalty wasn't as valuable).

No, not for this GM Owner Appreciation Program. No year requirements. The only restriction, is that Saab ownership doesn't count. So open to any consumer that currently owns or leases any Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Pontiac-GMC or Saturn passenger car or truck. Is transferable within the same household.
The recently ended, June 1st, Loyalty Bonus Cash Program, did require the car to be 1999 or newer.

Figures they would change it 4 days after I bought mine.....though they did make up the difference themselves...dealer and i both agreed having that year restriction was stupid...glad GM removed it. Thanks again SD!

We got the discount on our 93 Olds Cierra. We didn't need to show any paperwork to get it. Then again this is the car I've driven into the dealer every time we've talked, so they're used to seeing it.
