I dropped my GXP order today ...

NOW THE REST OF THE STORY:

Okay ... every knows that I have had the worst luck at getting ANY Solstice/Kappa car. Well the process that began in Iraq way back in July of 2005 will be finally over soon.

The car that was WAY behind my GXP order finally caught up and passed my order. It is in transit to RI and the person that had that car on order wanted an Automatic (at last minute). My order is not too far behind and is an Auto, so we agreed to swap.

I can now get my Manual and the only difference in orders is the color. I will now be in a Mean GXP, so I guess that I cannot make fun of that name any longer. It also has the Premium Headliner, which was another item that I wanted.

I have a VIN #, but the fax is at my office and I am off work today. I will post more information tomorrow, but I was about to burst with excitement and had to post the news. Thanks to Kathy for keeping me informed on the other order and for everyone that has helped me along the way.

Steve

CONGRATS !!!!

You should have it at the dealership by Friday or Monday the latest. It's only a 6 hour drive to RI. It will say in transit even if it's sitting at the plant. I'm hoping ours are on the same truck. I can't even get my invoice yet.

Your welcome !!! You deserve your GXP fast after all you have been thru.

To my fellow 3D ID NCO. HOOAH!!! I feel like I'm getting mine all over again. Especially since I'll probably get to ride in it sooner or later. Congrats to a guy who obviously has the patience of Jobe. Good things come to those who wait. this car must be SUPER good. Big Sarge has been waiting a long time.

Congrats!

Watch that break-in on your long drive back. Start maping out the side roads you can take to keep the speed varying. There are plenty to choose from.

Be safe.

Thanks to all
I was not expecting to get mine until mid Dec, so I am busy trying to finish my research paper and Finals in my MA-PC classes (online). I guess I need to spend less time this week on the SF and more time on my college work.

I will have my VIN and other information posted tomorrow.

Congrats, Sarge. Glad it worked out after what you have been through with the time factor and it's nice it worked out that you could get the 5-speed and the headliner. You will be on cloud 9 pretty soon. Enjoy!

Great news, McKee. Is it any coincidence that you favor a certain banner in your sig?
