Know there has been some interest in OnStar, so will put it out as a new thread.
Effective 10/27/05, OnStar will be available to be ordered. It will require the new option of Premium Acoustic Headliner be ordered also. As expected the OnStar MSRP will be $695. The headliner MSRP will add $150. The headliner is available seperate (will start a new thread on this).
Any order that has not been "picked up" can have either of these options added to them. Request a copy of the order from VOMS or DealerWorld Order Workbench to confirm the change.
Keep in mind that the Solstice OnStar system is scheduled to be an Advanced Automatic Crash Notification (AACN) system. Using a collection of sensors, AACN automatically calls for help when the vehicle is involved in a moderate or severe frontal, rear, or side impact crash, even if the air bags did not deploy. AACN provides crash severity and location infomation to OnStar Advisors, who can relay it to emergency service dispatchers.
