OK, I don't know that I really have anything here, a code #1100 Prelim Order Acceptance and #1102 Prelim Order Added Thru Web, with Order #KSKH5P assigned. What is the typical wait time to the next level? What code is the one that really matters (besides the 6000 Delivered to Customer) from a production standpoint? 2000 GM Acceptance, 3000 Production Control, etc.?
Also, the dealer says he has(had) two allocations in January, used one for mine and the other for a house order. Does that mean he is further in the queue to order, but what is the time factor for any delaler allocations to pop up ready to build? Am I being teased into waiting longer on the order?
Still in the dark,
Dave

3300 Schedule for Production
3400 Broadcast
3800 Produced
4000 Available to Ship
4104 Bailment Invoice
4b00 Bayed (actually a capital B but it can be mistaken for an eight)
4106 Release Bailment
4150 Original Invoice
4200 Shipped
4800 Rail Ramp Unload
4300 Intermediate Delivery
4V03 EDD (Estimated Delivery Date) Updated (thanks GO DRVN)
5000 Delivered to Dealer
6000 Delivered to Customer
2000 and then 2500 are the big ones to begin the build sequence, 3000 begins the gathering of parts for the build....ask your dealer to print out a Vehicle Order Event History for you...its the most accurate as to the status of your order..If I recall..the 2000 code would reflect the order has been placed against the dealers allocation

Thanks, PAO, I have copied those from another message. Wanted to talk the walk when I went to the dealer today.
What I guess I was really looking for was a time factor to move to the next level, or from one status to another. It seems some people have been on the list forever at 1100 or 2000 something, and others go to 3400 Broadcast like nothing. I am willing to wait my turn, too. But when the dealer says he has an allocation, does that mean his turn is really ready in the queue, or just permission to submit an order and still wait the long wait? Can a dealer just put an order in willy-nilly, without an allocation, just to wait for an allocation? Is an allocation just double-speak? Are orders and allocations really distinctly different? Or is everyone waiting for the "same" allocation, and at the mercy of when GM is ready to schedule a production time slot?
Sorry if it sounds like I am nit-picking the semantics,
Dave
Good things happen for those who wait, and wait, and wait....
Just left the dealership with an event code 3400, Broadcast, and Target Production Week (TPW) of 3/5/2007, NEXT WEEK!
I AM PUMPED!! The perma-grin is starting to break through!! I can't stop smiling. Just have to wait for the call to come down and take a look at it. I'm having paint striping applied so we won't take it home right away. But it will be great to sit in it and get a picture!

So everything stays friendly between you and your dealership and I can sleep at night, try to make your wheel choice before end of business today. Then your dealership can make the easy change in house before your car goes #2500 tonight and #3000 in the next few days.
Also, not sure what is involved the the wheel treatment you are planing on, but on a GXP you can drop down to the base painted wheels. No cost but no savings. If you think that the painted wheel might provide a better surface for the powder coating you are thinking of.

Ok, I am calling him back and saying keep it the same , no changes. I wanted black stock wheels all along , then I will get red calipers
Also SD do I need to have something in writing other than the "Order WorkBench" print out confirming I get the car at invoice $28,415.18 + W/A.... the sales person Dave said it will be right at Supplier price of $ 28,917.63 or less....but if the car were to come in and no Dave, it would be my word against Dealer,( what type of document or form from them is binding) I remember you said to have it go as "Retail Sold". I will wait to hear your answer, everything is friendly right now, and I wanna keep it that way, they also said that it won't take very long to get this car now
they asked the same question and the wheel place said it makes no difference, when the car comes in they will remove tires from wheel, and when they put it back on it will carry the same guarantee as ifI had gotten chrome.........I think the 08 models have wheel sensors now for inflation.

Even a notation that the sale will be at the GM Supplier Purchase Program price as stated on the invoice (or something shorter) and a signature of a manager on the sheet you have should be what you are looking for.
Or you could request they do a formal Purchase & Sales Agreement or Buyer's Order or whatever name they go by where you are at.

looks like Ticket and I will be receiving our gxp's about the same time. I have a similar question regarding the event codes.
I called my dealer today and they said the car was built, I was very excited, but I wasn’t expecting the car to be built until the middle of the month. I called back and received a vehicle order event history. It has my order number, my vin, event codes from 1100 through 4B00. but the end date isn’t listed for 4B00 through 3800, but it does have the effective date, system source, and process id. The last end date I have is at broadcast.
Is my car really at broadcast and they are reading it wrong or has it really been ‘bayed’
Is there anything I should look for on the event history that would tell me one way or the other?
just incase it is hard to visualize, i recreated the form. I know i have about two weeks or more of waiting either way, but still curious on how to read the report.
Vehicle Order Event History
Vehicle order number: MDTTV1
VIN: <actual VIN>
Event Code Event Description Effective Date End Date System source ProcessID
4B00 Bayed 2007-08-06 VTIMS VIDSTRN1
4150 Original Invoice 2007-08-03 BARS VIDSINV1
4000 Available to ship 2007-08-03 COMS VIDSATS1
3800 Produced 2007-08-03 COMS VIDSPRD1
3400 Broadcast 2007-07-26 2007-07-26 ORDERMGT OMPV005
<omited 3300 through 1100 since those rows look just like 3400>
so am i at Bayed or Broadcast?
Thanks again,
David

You moved past Broadcast when your car was Produced. It has been Invoiced to the dealership and is Bayed waiting shipment as it is Available to ship.
The invoice your dealership received on the 3rd or 4th, will included an estimated date of arrival at the dealership.

that is great news, it is as the dealer said, but i just couldn't believe the car was built about two weeks ahead of schedule. my order went in on July,24th which replaced an order on the 20th. they are saying toward the end of the month they should have it.
So does it normally take about 3 weeks to go from bayed to delivered? Granted i am in washington state.
not sure if it is said enough, but you're best Small Dealer.
David

I kept it light and asked to have the price agreed upon faxed over, I trust this salesperson to do me right
