Looking to order an 08 but my local dealrs do not have the info yet? Am I talking to a noob or have they not released the 08 stuff to the dealers??

My dealer has had the info since the end of May and I ordered my 2008 the 1st friday in June ( he had a allocation for one) and it was delivered mid July.

There are several threads on the forum related to the 2008 info, prices of options, etc., and tells you where you can show your dealer to locate that information in their gm system.

If you are wanting the brochures, they are not out yet and the pontiac website has not been updated to include the 2008 solstice yet, either.

Internet searches can provide alot of info as well as utilizing the searches on here.

there are a bunch of us that have ordered 08s, so my guess is;
they didn't understand your question - might need to talk to a salesmanager or the person that does the ordering.
They have 07s they want to get rid of first - go else where if you don't like their 07s
Or some other reason special to them.

If you do decide to order make sure they have an allocation for a gxp or base if that is what you are looking for; otherwise your wait could be a lot longer.
